NEW DEBATE
By

Bonjour ... For a better understanding to be established ... and that the collector can count everything he has ... I would like to relaunch the debate on special official records ... -promos or commercial- or with addition (s) ... always official of course ... Why in the description of this Japanese draw there are only two singles? ... For me there were two promos distributed and sent more a commercial for sale ... 1) The promo with the "mythical" folder printed 100 copies !!! -I find this number incredible considering its rarity so far ... or the folder has been misplaced, thrown or destroyed in a dementia crisis to keep only the single !!! (it's a joke) ... 2) The promo WITHOUT the folder (several hundred I suppose since it is not rare) ... Collectors with the promo distributed without folder will be able to estimate its value and its rarity (stars) as for the other two ... So far the accounts are skewed ... In your answer, I would like to know your point of view ... Regards.

@Sukiac: just to clarify you think there would have been less than 100 folders? How many in your opinion... jsy curious. Does anyone know for certain? Thanks.

I think this was a sensible price for this rarity in the current climate, and I agree most people have less disposable cash currently so probably not the best time to sell.

You did fine, curemember. I paid a lot more than that for my copy.

Yeahh,,$1000 are much money for a record, but this is really hard to get. The price always falling on expensive records after example three or four big collectors have bought one. When you mention the world cup, im very disappointed that Sweden are not qualified, so not so much looking at fotball for me, but when it comes to the finals, yes then i will look. Have a great day both of you:)

Having said that, it still is quite an expensive item for anyone to buy. There's a recession, unemployement fears, and wel,l the World Cup starts today, so everyone needs money for beers, right?:) Also ,historically on Cure auctions , there are only a handful of people with deep enough pockets, and that may well explain some of the (silly) prices paid in the last 5 years...maybe this $816 price is a fairer reflection of its true market price..

Hello JC. I was the underbidder, but the customs-fee is really high here in Sweden, approx $225-250 in customs-fee on this amount. But i take it next time;) Its cool.

Well according to the site, Lovecats would have around 50-100 copies, and InbetweenDays 100... so, i would say yes Lovecats is slightly rarer..I personally had never heard of the Lovecats folder, let alone seen it, before i came onto this site.A great rarity...

Congratulations to your folder Vandeebbroup:) Are there any of you who has the lovecats promo jpn with folder? And is this lovecats jpn promo with folder rarer than inbetween? I bought my folder two years ago. Regards/Lasse!

Thanks for the info, and well done!...if you guys don't know about this site already, check www.popsike.com.There were two for sale on ebay in the last 3 years, both averaged about $2000...so i would say it's "fair value" as it looked a bit creased.Cheers.jchristophem

I got it for $1875. I'd seen one sell on ebay a year or two ago for $1999 with buy-it-now, so I thought it would go for about that much. I already had the record, so that is the most expensive folder I've ever bought, ha ha.

HI! I was in contact with Ben Backhurst on tokyorecords hole time, i tried to win this, but my max-bid was only $1075 and i've got the answer that the record went for much more than this. How much i don't really know. Regards/Lasse! (curemember!)
