		interesting post, i like too much the german cd releases. And i like them mainly because there are a lot of differents editions of each cd album until show (more than in any other european country) due to the cds from 87 until some month in 89 (don't know exactly which month) all cure european cds were manufactured in germany to be distributed in the rest of the european countries. Don't try to find for example a kiss me cd made in the u.k. by pdo because simply it doesn't exist. Before kiss me i only know that exist faith and staring made in the u.k. by pdo (i think they were released on cd later than kiss me or even disintegration) I doubt about if exists the uk disintegration cd because the disintegration cd sampler is made in the u.k by pdo (matrix: DISIN 1 176801 01 % MADE IN U.K. BY PDO), anyway, let's keep on talking about the number of the different german releases. Is the 02 scarce aswell? It depends on which cd album we are speaking about. 3 imaginary: i only have seen 01 release (i have 3 different, very common) boys: 01 is the 13 tracks edition. 02 is common 17: i only have seen 01 and 02 release (this last one is common, not the 01 one) faith and pornography: i only have seen 01 and 02 release (02 release is common in both cd albums) japanese: i have never seen 01 release. 02 and 03 are common. top: i only have seen 01 and 02 releases (both releases are common) concert: i have seen 01, 02 and 03 releases. 01 is rare, the rest are common head: i have seen 01, 03 and 04 releases. Never seen a 02 release and a friend of mine have the 01, so 01 and 02 are rare. Staring: 02 is rare, 03 and 04 are common. Never seen a 01 release Kiss me: same as staring: 02 is rare, 03 and 04 are common. Never seen a 01 release disintegration: only 01 release, so very common entreat: only 01 release, so very common mixed up: 01 and 02 very common wish: 01 and 02 very common from show onwards there are not many releases of each cd (in 1993 matrix began with made in germany by pmdc engraved on it so there are not "made in w.germany by pdo" or "made in germany" (only) or "made in germany by pdo" (without w.), but i will speak about it in another post time to work

		How about 02 releases? You don't mention them..are they scarce as well?

		paneuropean when you say that your copy says made in france by pdo, you mean that it is written in one of the four rectangles of the cd, don't you? if the matrix would have pressed on it made in france by pdo, you would have an interesting rare item...i have never seen a french cd with made in france by pdo engraved on the matrix. And about releases, i really think that don't exist all releases of all cds. I mean any of you have by chance kiss me, staring or japanese made in germany cd release 01? i have never seen one. 03 and 04 releases are very common of kiss me, head and staring for example. A friend of mine has the 01 german release of head on the door. If someone has these releases it would be very interesting to see scanners in this site. Probably the reference number will be printed in the rear of the back sleeve hidden under the tray. In my oppinion this first german releases are very scarce and rare. i have been looking for them for years without any luck...so let's keep on searching for the 01 german releases of kiss me, staring and japanese

		It depends on the variation. A different "Made in... by..." makes a new item. A matrix number with a different ending (01, 02,... etc.) are classified as variations of the same item.
