Hi, you're welcome. I don't feel it is long... and hope it is at least clear. Yes no characters, the matrix match the scans shown here. Once again the seller copies should match these matrix numbers and other details too. According the pictures the handwriting is very close. Both of the 2 sellers ID got many feedback and were not created only for this record. But he didn't wait much time to sold the second one. But, as he is not a very clever counterfeiter I will send him an email to sugest him to sold his 3rd copy next year.

Hi, Sal and thanks for your long reply:) ahh,, so no characters on matrix then? But why change the ID when he place the record for auction the second time?

Lasse, when I replied to the first post from Sukiac it was related to the title on the B side. The B side play "A Japanese Dream". This record is not a double "A" side with WCIBY on each record side. The matrix of the run-off only have numbers and nothing else.

Hello Lasse, I understand now the record play WCIBY/JD like the one shown here and other known copies. The seller said that the matrix is only numbers. I'm still confused about what are you expecting from a test pressing matrix ? A vinyl test pressing is supposed to be the same record than the one used for the commercial release except the label and/or sleeve. According the number of copies you can maybe consider calling it only "promo" and not test press. There are many examples to illustrate this kind of use like the 12" UK, 12" US, 7" Japan... Here, it seems that Polydor Spain promoted WCIBY using the commercial release which differs only by a white label and a Polydor generic sleeve. As you know, sometimes record company use specific/dedicated records with same track on each record side or not etc... which are printed only for promotional purposes (not for prod) and not for a further use as a commercial release. So, in this case you can sometimes find on this promo records the reference and/or on the matrix not many numbers but Cure1, Cure2, Karen etc...but it is not a rule. So, now the seller has a second copy. As Zakiaaa said this record is not difficult to find and got 2 copies is really not a miracle at least if you are not expecting to get you records only from ebay. Moreover, these 2 pictures of the label and sleeve match the one shown here. I found 3 copies of the 7" Spanish Lovesong promo double A side during a Spanish trip 20 years ago. So, If I sold it on ebay I will probably ask to the second bidder if is it interested as you have less fees as a seller from ebay and less risk to got a lesser price, as I will also ask the same for some 4 or 5 stars Cure records I got in many copies from mint to VG. The other situation is that some "rare" records are sold on ebay and people noticed that they are valuable records. I noticed few years ago a Siouxsie record sold for about 200 euro. I ignored that and sold mine few days after. So, Siouxsie collectors in 2-3 weeks find 2 copies of a relative rare record. So what can be concluded ? I think you need to have the record in your hand to know if it is a genuine copy or not and check every detail in comparison to the commercial Spanish release or the one shown here.

Hello Salvatore, i never bought the record from Galactic zoo. I was a little suspicious about the authenticity. Maybe i am wrong here, only my feeling. When i am not 100% sure its better to not buy. The seller Galactic zoo says that matrix are only numbers, no WCIBY or JD. The thing is that the record on ebay right now is the same as the previous (the auction i won) same record but different ID. Here is the link for the auction i won

Hi Lasse, can you please be more explicit about the record you find/baught from the Galactic zoo seller ? I understand there is not WCIBY on the A side but only JD on B Side ? You said that the matrix was not the same from the one shown here. Can you please give the matrix number from your copy ? thank you

This tp was sent to many radio stations so i'm not surprised that someone might find some copies. Note that the us tp of lovesong turnes up for auction every now and then. I'm very confident these tp are genuine.

Hi Lasse, it could be an unknown Spanish TP and not a fake record. If the matrix code start with 850 ... ... this could be a genuine Spanish Polydor record. Regards, Sal

I understand this Salvatore, the thing is that i was going to buy this, and i asked for the matrix, but this hasnt the same matrix as yours. Not the WCIBY on a-side and JD on b-side, isnt this very strange? So i wonder if this was a fake he was going to sell? Regards/Lasse

I'm not sure that it's "hard" to know, maybe it is for CDR. At least you can compare a vinyl TP with the commerical pressing. Except the label color, I didn't notice anything different from the commercial pressing: the run off, matrix number, groove and shape of the vinyl around the run-off...everything match perfectly. I got it in the late 80's as most of my Spanish 12", 7" records. Thank you for your advices but I will never submit here anything I consider "suspicious". I reserve that for Zack website.

Thanks for answer. Its always hard to know if a test-press is genuine, thats why im asking you. I mean how the labels are, do you see anything strange with it. BTW, very nice item.

Hi, I'm not sure to quite understand your message. Of course the matrix is similar to the commercial spanish 7" as it is supposed to be a TP of this single. I just recheck: A side is WCIBY and B side is JD. Why are you suspicious ?

Hello Salvatore, i checked the matrix on this test-pressing. And it seems to be the same as the usual spanish 7. But you said that JD is engraved on b-side, how about the a-side, anything more engraved on this side. I cant help it but i always being a little suspicious about test-pressings. Can you tell me more about this? Regards/Lasse
