thanks for your answer, well i just wondered if you had any proof, but i think these with IFPI numbers are authentic promos/Lasse

Bonjour Lasse ... Already 16 years ago ... and the answer to your question is in the doldrums !!! I had this info noted in my file since its issue ... But I can attest that the three I had in my hands were not fakes ... Do you know any other numbered promo with address and destination city ??? I think of a Fiction essay to limit the fakes because this CDR has no label and is not manufactured in the factory ... so no IFPI numbers. Do you have a better answer satisfactory ? Best Regards.
Mar, 13 2017 11:29 PM
Sukiac, do you have any proof of this you are saying, 15 copies from each city? I have sent Colana(who are selling this on discogs) an email, and he wonders about this/Lasse
Mar, 9 2017 11:50 PM
and can i ask where you have got this information Sukiac?
Mar, 9 2017 11:24 PM
So if this info from Sukiac is correct, it exists 15 copies from every city, question are how many cities? maybe 90 copies maybe??
Mar, 9 2017 11:16 PM
ok, interesting information sukiac. I have thought about this a long time, and the info from the owners about the IFPI ingraved, it must be authentic.
Mar, 9 2017 11:01 AM
Bonjour Lasse ... There is no problem with the numbering ... It was published 15-numbered copies for EACH CITY (London, Newcastle, Bristol, etc ... !!! The city is part of the numbering ... so there are identical numbers but for different cities ... There is no FALSE ... and no quarantine ... Regards.

I got a cdr of a fake of these with the matrix thing AX-30 40 60 like shown in the scan, but with a clear paper sleeve - said to exist 15 copies back then. Sounded stupid back then and also nowadays. At least I got it for almost nothing - guess, I can throw it in the bin without any harm. If someone buys some other items from me, ask for this for a free gift.

Feb, 24 2009 8:21 PM
It's very hard to say jchrisophem. Maybe the time will tell? Maybe not. If your copy is with IFPI in matrix, maybe yours is authentic,,but as i said, i don't know. /Lasse!
Feb, 24 2009 2:51 PM

Feb, 17 2009 11:40 AM
So keep all informations together here: curemember has 04/15 he said. tsaos here which is pictured has the 04/15 Ms Karen London with no ifpi and now the Seller list another 3rd one with 04/15 Paul TTC Leeds and you have questions about Authenticy?Sorry but that makes me laugh...
Feb, 17 2009 11:31 AM
I have 3 Cure friends of me which bought them from this Seller in the past a log time ago.2 from this friends says it has no ifpi Number.I wait for the reply from my last friend but he is in Holiday for 1 Week.1 has this Number and he tell me it`s only a cheap CDr with poor printed paper Cover. Bob McKinley Scotland 9/15.The other I must asked.tsao has shows his own one here and I can`t see an ifpi Number on it only AX-30 40 60 but this is only a CDr Number nothing more.My friends told me they have a big Discussion after they received this Disc about Authenticy with this Seller.
Feb, 17 2009 11:18 AM
If i may say...(for future similar cases)...It would be nice,if any of us has any doubt about an item, to flag it early rather than late and warn other collectors....it's all good saying afterwards yeah don't buy this item it's obviously a fake...but the ealier we get the info the better for everyone...
Feb, 17 2009 6:48 AM
So the question is,,official or not? Looks like there are a IFPI number after all. /Lasse!
Feb, 16 2009 10:08 PM
I received this reply from the seller: "That's very strange. I have received the 3 CD's (number 4-6) from a good friend in the UK. I hope really tahat this guy don't sells faked stuff to me. So i really have no idea what happend here. I have selled a few of this CD's in the past on ebay, thats true. But i never burn CD's by myself. I have about 2000 CD's in stock here and have no idea which number of this Cure CD i have sold at ebay in the last years. The Matrix on the CD is: IFPI ABM25 (i hope thats correct, its very little). Regards Colana".

Feb, 16 2009 7:33 PM
webmaster please help me to correct this, bad error here! -strunz4712-kzdebski-...
Feb, 16 2009 7:30 PM
It does not work, why?I have post 8 ebay Names here. Will try again!1.strunz4712,2.kzdebski,... it works now!If somebody know this People please asked for the Number of this Disc but the Innerring will say you more about an Authentic or not I think!
Feb, 16 2009 7:23 PM
Sorry here is the full list: strunz4712, kzdebski...
Feb, 16 2009 7:22 PM
I find this ebay Members on the Feedback Profile which all bought 1 of this. There was much more sold from this Seller from this Disc but not everybody post a Feedback! strunz4712,kzdebs... will asked some Cure friends of me which Number they have, will let you know soon!
Feb, 16 2009 7:06 PM
So this Seller has sell more than 15 Quantity in the last 2 Years I think and everybody can see it on ebay or in the Feedback Profile! And only this Seller sell this special CD,nobody else! If I asked the Universal Music Group the last Year to find out which are CD Bootlegs and which not from The Cure they send me this link to find out more about Bootleg CDs.They told me the SID Code which has 4 Numbers + 4 Letters is the answer to find out about an Authentic + an ifpi Number that you can find all in the Innerring of every Autorised CD!And on this pdf you can read that a Matrix Number is not a guarantee that this is an Authentic Disc! Please look carefully in the Innerring and have a look to this link here from the Record Company:
Feb, 16 2009 6:25 PM
Beware of this! This is never be an Authentic! I have asked this Seller at the beginning of the last Year how much do you have for sale from this? And the answer was 5 pieces only. After this he sell 3 again on ebay for extreme high Prices and make a lot`s of Second Bidder Chances too.I see so much People who buy this from this Seller, sell again and again and now too.So if there is a limited of 15 quatity only than this Seller burned this 15 pieces! And of course this Seller sell more than 15 of that the last 2 Years, everybody can watch this on ebay!If he can sell more he make new ones,my opinion!Look at the Disc totally a Fake. Where is the Record Company Copyright Logo on the Disc or Cover?Where is the Release Year?No IFPI Number, nothing! And look at this cheap Cover,my Cure friend here has bought one and it looks poor!Keep an Eye of those Sellers,it only ripped you off!
Feb, 16 2009 10:32 AM
Hi...i've no. 12/15 and I bought my CD from this seller too...
Feb, 16 2009 9:59 AM
I have now asked the seller for the matrix number. Let's see where we go from there.
Feb, 16 2009 9:43 AM
Yupp,,but very, very strange. If he has sold three cds before and now he bought again three cds, it sounds mystical.
Feb, 16 2009 9:42 AM
I bought mine off him too...and have been suspicious ever since, as he has sold(to my knowledge)3 other copies on Ebay in the last year or so...I will check my copy's number this week end..
Feb, 16 2009 9:31 AM
Very sad when this kind of thing happens. I hope there is a good explanation.
Feb, 16 2009 9:29 AM
Feb, 16 2009 9:24 AM
i asked him yesterday, and he said he bought the three cds number 4-6 from a good friend in Uk, normally he don't sell fake stuffs he said..hmm. /Lasse!
Feb, 16 2009 9:22 AM
Very strange. The same seller has sold (if I remember correctly) At least 3 copies of this numbered single. Dont remember exactly which numbers, but I think #9 was the last one he sold.
Feb, 16 2009 9:12 AM
Good point. If I remember well, I bought my CD to that seller. I have asked the seller for an explanation. Whatever it maybe, no doubt more than 15 copies would exist. It'd be interesting to know whether the rest of the people owning this disc bought their copy to this seller too.
