I am in touch with Matthieu Hartley and this is what he told me in a recent mail about this record : "It's a recording I did mid 80s. As far as I can remember I recorded this as a promo and not for any kind of official release. I think I had just left "Fools Dance" because I wasn't happy with the replacement singer. I accompanied the Cure on a few european dates and handed them out to people, which might explain how your copy ended up in France ! I can't remember how many were pressed ! I have since recorded stuff with 2 other bands, "Surrender Dorothy" and "Earth Calling". Again, these were promotional demos. I have recently started working on music again with a fantastic singer/musician under the name of "Icicle Thieves".

    Just got a copy and playing it right now. The music on this is really good! A bit Associates a bit Hall and Oats even (thatâ??s a good thing by the way!) definitely sounds nothing like The Cure! Reading the info above, does that mean Matthieu occasionally played live with the group in 87 or was just â??hanging outâ?? with?
