Hello; Sorry, I'm not sure to understand it well. I checked THOTD and JW and didn't see the 'imports' sticker or anything else... These records have got labels written in the country's language, so I don't see where is the problem to classify them... I must have missed something. Anyway, I understand what you mean when you say "any customised titled sticker placed by the local label has turned the item into a "local" item to our eyes (vs. "import"). (...) What makes that JW an "Import" -unlike the others- is that it's FULLY a foreign pressing. It has backsleeve import sticker which is not speaking about The Cure or any titles but just adding a catalogue number." So here with this THOTD pressing, if the sticker was only written 'LP POL 281, MC POL 581, POLYDOR' it wouldn't be considered as 'local' but just 'import' (so it wouldn't be listed as a new item?), it's just the two words in french 'importé par' that makes it a local item?

Hi siamese, that's a very good question. It's definitely a debatable issue, a matter of criteria (as usual). However please note that from the very beginning and always, any customised titled sticker placed by the local label has turned the item into a "local" item to our eyes (vs. "import"). That's how we've classified not dozens, but hundreds of cases, this French THOTD and KMKMKM 12" amongst them. What makes that JW an "Import" -unlike the others- is that it's FULLY a foreign pressing, and it doesn't have a titled customised sticker. It has backsleeve import sticker which is not speaking about The Cure or any titles but just adding a catalogue number. That tiny detail is what does make the difference to us.

Hi, mine is the same as paneuropean : import sticker but german pressing with blue labels. Otherwise, should'nt this item be classified as "import", like the japanese whispers UK lp with french import sticker?
