Very plausible, good guess.

indeed - if anyone is still annoyed over their spanish 2 track, please let me me know......good call JC - stunn must have been all but finished by March 83, so maybe all the Aussie issues were sold out, and they only had some NZ copies available to order. then again there was the stunn primary aussie 12" made for NZ. confusing stuff.

Many collectors don't get excited by tapes and that may well be the reason why today tapes are by far the hardest to find format (with the permission of Betamax!). But ironically, that same reason has turned them very collectable. It's kind of funny to imagine back in 1989 people in Spain getting annoyed by getting a 'stupid' 2 track tape for free with the Disintegration LP. The Entreat Spanish cassette is probably harder to find than the Greek Paris 12", but you know, tapes lack that 'glamour'.

Interestingly for an Australian release, notice the use of the Australian 12" catalogue number (ESP 103)and the use of the New Zealand LP catalogue number (STUN 001) as opposed to the Australian catalogue number(MLF 363)

It's a format thing for me, i can't get exited by tapes, but every now and then one comes up and you think..nice!I love the idea of finding it in a church jumble sale, it gives it more sentimental value in away...The exitement of finding a new item on Ebay lasts for hmmm 3 seconds maybe, but you find an item in a junk or charity shop, or even in a record fair, the exitement is a lot more intense because it's here, in your hands, and i really like that feeling..A great find. Thanks for SHARING.

Well technically it's EMI but the sleeve with the Stunn logo is awesome and makes the tape a must have! Wow church hall, what a delightful surprise it must have been. I'm very glad you didn't get it on eBay. Btw JC, I thought you hated tapes :)

Did you find it recently?

yes, you've got me there tsao! but any 'new' stunn item unearthed 26 years later has got to be worth a bonus star, don't you think ;)

Yes the track is "A forest". But I think the perfect VINYL equivalent to this would be a 12" with 20 tracks/artists (not 3), without folder/bio, and made in 1980 to promote the track (not the label). However this doesn't mean it can't have a 3rd star! Eventhough it's a V.A. this tape seems far more scarce than this one for example

At least yours it's the 1st one I see!

of course i am biased but i'm with JC, 3 stars all the way! it really is the cassette equivalent of the 7 records with midnight oil/tourists 7". there is a fair bit of detail with catalogue numbers etc already on the sleeve, so maybe no press kit?? if no more appear in the next year or so, maybe 3 stars will be in order then anyway.

Yeah very cool! What do you think redhill? It wouldn't be of much surprise this wonderful finding had been sent away with a folder or press kit or whatever, so maybe JC your third star got lost with it! A great addition (again), and a great example of why sometimes various artists stuff become very collectable
