- one version with some text inside the insert (on the opposite of spine) > "les faces 1 et 2 peuvent avoir des durées sensiblement différentes. Il est recommandé...", - the other version without any text on the same place

Interesting differences

Despite my lack of interest in tapes(maybe until now), i took a good look at some of the 3 Imaginary boys tapes on show here.I find interesting the fact that the album name does not appear anywhere, neither on the front, spine nor tape itself for this item...I looked at the UK tapes(which i think must be used as reference) and the title does show on the front cover, but not the spine, and as for the tape itself you can only read THE CURE-THE CURE,not Three Imaginary Boys..I guess it has to do with the fact that the original lp did not have the album title written on the front..Anyway little details which i found interesting. Finally, and correct me if i am wrong, there's a clear Dutch tape supposedly from 1979...in my mind clear tapes are more late 80's and 90's, so can anyone confirm it was indeed issued in 1979..Ciaoooooo.JC

Been to Vap's headquarters in Tokyo yesterday, which are on 4th floor of this building
http://www.thecurerecords.com/...
Had some talking with kind Mr. Tanaka, a Vap's producer who said he'll do his best to help us get the pictures of the missing tapes, "but it may take long". I'm sure about that. Sorry pictures inside were not allowed.

That is what makes them so exciting! I think I will need to travel to Norway also and visit every flea market to find Faith as well :) On the other hand, I have been jealous about your ZA cassettes also :) The ZA cassettes in your collection are the only ones I have ever seen. And that is also a good thing about this community. Looking forward to send good pictures as soon as I receive the cassette. *spoiler: the sleeve is black and looks a bit like the inlay of the mixed up cassette * :)

Wow! south african disintegration. You just made me very jealous. South african tapes are also my weakness, together with the -I suppose- existing pressing of the zimbabwean disintegration!!! other tapes that would make me very happy to see are the remaining venezuelan, colombian or equatorian titles on tape. Not to mention vap japanese tapes or the chance to see the yugoslavian pressing of 3ib on tape. And many more... cassettes are just the hardest to find today.

Cassettes is truly the most interesting thing for me now. I have had as one of my top collecting priorities in the last years to get *any* south african pressing with The Cure, and today, I found a copy of Disintegration. One of the happiest days of my life, and you guys are the only ones I get to share it with, I tried talking to my wife about it, but she wasn't really that interested ;)

welcome j-c to tapeland :-) once bitten, forever smitten! I wrote ages ago here on the forum that all dutch clear tapes must date back to 1988 or later, which make the seldom seen paper label dutch tapes highly collectable (only 3 on the site, althouhg some more should exist).
