This sticker differs from the generic Australian promo small stickers we are used to see, so we thought they might not be original to the record and have put it in quarantine. Anyone saw this sticker before?

Hi John77 - yes, just like you and jchristophem, back in the late 80s and early 90s, when you could find things locally and pay very little. I never questioned its provenance. Thanks for the good trade.

Bonjour ... I own this single with this promo sticker since many years ... I also saw singles of other artists with this metallic sticker ... Regards.

Good times they were for collecting (the late 80s early 90s)

Hi Pheel242 - glad it arrived OK (if that is mine :) ) I have owned that since the very early 90's - when Cure collecting was not a big concern :) - which is why I always believed it was genuine as at the time there was no real reason to fake it

Although this discussion is 7+ years old at this point, I recently acquired this record from another avid Cure collector and contributor to this site. The sticker on my copy is identical, although its placement is on the upper right corner of the back of the sleeve. For what it's worth, the record with this sticker certainly seems legit to me -- but then, I went after it because I verified its existence using this site. How does that grab you for circular logic?

We've replaced the scan of the sticker with a much bigger one. Thanks yugung

at the original cover the sticker looks much more cleaner than on the scan. The sticker edges are quid clean and sticks together with the cover. So I can eliminate all doubt, that the sticker are traken from another record.

i think this is legit, and an early version of the later small WEA promo stickers that have exactly the same wording. think i have seen a few in the distant past.

Good point. However the sticker is almost black when scanned because of the mirror effect of the silver, andiIt is possible that it looks older here than it actually is after editing the image. So yugung, would you say the sticker is old enough to discard it was added recently? In any case, the sticker could be old and taken from another record. The source is quite important here. What can you tell us about it? Any help from Aussie collectors?

No, first time. However, this sticker looks quite old so I would discard a recent addition to the sleeve.
