From the previous thread on this item, it sounded fairly definite that it was a fake. If I read correctly, there were two different replies from Universal that it was a counterfeit. Isn't that good proof that it's not authentic?

Their are 2 numbers on the cd: 1. the matrix number : 80 PG7408 2. a number on the clear circle, which i can not make a scan of because it is on the clear part of the cd. the number is: DB 669D0325780 And the text: "the cure 4.13 dream" is as black as the other text on the cd. I looked at it under a bright light. Looks printed to me. Hope this helps.

I think you could be able to tell if you hold it against a lamp and see if it looks different than the other black print. I agree with the voices below that it could be genuine. What do I know, so damn hard to tell these days with cd-r promos.

Is their something that i can make sure it is not handwritten? I mean it looks to me that it is not handwritten but 100% sure ? Not really..

Please post your answer here then. I am also a little suspicios, specially when its seems like handwritten on the cd, hmmm. But you say it isnt. I have checked the matrix on cd and the colour, and its the same as the genuine new us-acetates like, only one and TPB,,so Maybe it isnt from Netherland? Any country?

Ok i found it. I am not 100% convinced that it is fake. The reason is because the cd looks real. Ok you can always make a counterfeit. Well i emailed universal also yesterday and wait for their answer.

@donnymarco... the thread they are talking about is from this forum on December 1, 2008. Go to the 'search forum' link at the very top of this page and click on 'advanced search'. Then enter 'netherlands' into the 'includes text' area. Leave the other areas blank. Then when the search results come up, scroll down to the post from December 1, 2008. There's a ton of info there about this item.

Can you post the url from that tread from ebay? Cant find it. Maybe it is a counterfeit record i dont know. I put it on ebay yesterday. All i know that it does not look like a counterfeit. But than again: i cant find anything about it on the internet.

Wasn't this record discussed after it was on ebay a couple of times? I believe the conclusion was that it was dutch, and that it might be a counterfeit. I think someone emailed universal netherlands and got the suspiction confirmed also. I am not that good with the search enginge, but there should be a long thread about this record waaay below. If i am mistaking (which I of course might be, then I am sorry)

It looks that it is printed on the cd so no handwritten. I dont know where it comes from bought it on www.marktplaats.nl ( a dutch site) It looks real but i really dont know anything about it and never saw it before.

Never seen this,and i must say the hand writting makes it a bit suspicious, but what do i know...
