		Of course it is expensive, but as shown in previous auctions,a handful of collectors have the means to spend that kind of money, and, if you tick both boxes( serious collector with money),for me this is a Top 5 must have item..so the price reflects that..well done to the winner!

		Thanks wishful. Over 4000 euros, is a lot of cash but compared to Bowie, Beatles and Pink Floyd collectibles is still small change! Fortunately most Cure rareties are cheaper and more accessible. As an aside, on a Bowie collectors page they are trading bootlegs, yes BOOTLEGS for 1500!

Sorry that's the best we can make out of the pictures received. It'd be nice we could read the circle credits on the labels and back sleeve. To Amocure: you seem to be the only one owning this astonishing record, for we can't but remind you it'd be great that you could re-shoot or get the record scanned (as asked a few posts ago). In any case, thanks very much for filling up the site with this one-of-a-kind missing.

		Hi there.i went personally to the spanish library in Madrid, last november (2017). I had it in my own hands. I could not make pictures because it is forbidden. I could watch 10 items (the maximun per person in one day). I could touch and see this gemm among some other spanish treasures such as the blood, entreat cassette, staring betamax...i have my own conclusions about some spanish editions that i think are fake (for example close to me promo 7â? or wciby promo 7â?). But this one really exist.

		Sorry to come back so late in the game. The typo with PLAINSONG made me look closer into this strange beast. I doubt it is legit. A. The "DISINTEGRATION font" used on this sleeve is unique to this "promo", the "DISINTEGRATION" font is consistent through all the DISINTEGRATION era promos on ALL other markets. B. Also unique is the fact that the "The Cure" "Lullaby" font is used here together with the "DISINTEGRATION" font. Do note that this way of writing the cure is otherwise only found on the sticker that came with the Lullaby ficsd29 promo 7". This might be too much for a single item... Only if Rafacure can check the actual date the 7" entered the Catalogo BNE would I give this a blank check. What do you guys think?

		CIAO .... i'm here .... I've been collecting for more than 25 years, i have more than 8000 CURE items and I've seen only 1 copy of this record (until now).... when I bought it (from an English guy in a fair - NOT EBAY) I made all the controls I can do after 25 years of collecting .... at the end I paid it a lot, but I bought it .... it is 100% original .... I do not want to publish photos or videos because someone might use it to counterfeit it ..... CIAO!

		Hi. As a Spanish collector interested in Spanish Cure releases on vinyl, videotape and cassettes, i think i can help a little bit about this item. I have found a interesting tool to know more or less exactly what spanish items have been released. And i say more or less because not all the spanish releases have a legal deposit (for example homesick cassette) and not all the spanish releases with legal deposit appears on this database (don't kwow why do not appear the releases before 1981: boys promo 7, boys commercial 7, charlotte sometimes 7, primary 7 and seventeen seconds). 		No vegemite, i would not be upset if i paid over 3000 euros or over 5000 euros for a Cure record playing Huey Lewis or Madonna or whatever..i would be very happy,,and this mispressing is the hole thing you see..this do the record even rarer...so...when you ask Jrcure to play the record, why will you do that??

		Maybe we will have to play every record on here to prove it is real!!! - but even if it does play the cure/bananarama/Bros whatever it proves bugger all !!!! - could just be a miss pressing - maybe you should all your collection because some of that might be fakes (or miss pressings) - or maybe you should take the word of very long established and knowledgeable collectors who may know a little more than others?? - if you don't think it real fine you believe that and don't look for it - I and a few lucky collectors know about the record and know it is 100% legit - but of course you may be right what would the rest of us know!!!

		@Vegemite: I don't have to prove anything. I made the pictures with the better quality i could to help other collectors, but you complain about almost everything. I don't have a turntable so i can't listen to what is recorded but honestly i don't mind, if the music is by Bananarama it would be, as Tsao said, even rarer.

		Dear curemember, would you be upset if if you payed over 3000euro for a record that played Huey Lewis and the News? If the owners can't prove that by playing this record on video is proof of this records legitimacy I would save your money for the next rarest record for this site. There is something secretive about this whole saga and I think paying 3000 (an estimation) euro for a "thecurerecords.com license" to own a dream is simply elitist.

		Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I doubt it's authenticity would pass the pub test given the evidence so far. Low quality images of the labels, terrible text spacing on the labels, no matrix image of the A-side and no proof to back up what plays on the disc. I don't think my reasons for doubting this records legitimacy are unreasonable. Cheers

		Hi jrcure, can you elaborate? Can you post a video of this record playing under a stylus. I understand the discrepancies posed by photo vs scanner (light), but you can appreciate the difference in colour is significant. Again, what music plays under the stylus? Banarama or The Cure?

		Regarding the redness of the labels the pictures shown here were taken by me using a digital camera, not a scanner. They look exactly the same with the the record in hand and it looks 100% legit to me.

		Also note the sharper pointed ends on the "P" and "d" of Polydor compared to the Lovesong spansg promo. Also the spacing and punctuation. On the Lovesong single the track duration does not use 0' 00", for example Plainsong 5'14" (spacing is wrong) compared to Lovesong 3.42 (perfect spacing). I wonder if these labels were modelled based on "The Blood" 1985 not 1989. The durations on The Blood do use 0" 00" and bold font. But in this comparison SGAE on this item does not have S.G.A.E and again misaligned. Furthermore, we still don't have proof what is actually pressed into the grooves of this disc?? I think it is fake.

		Just noticed. The white text that runs around outside of the label is a complete circle on the A side but only partial on the B side. Compared to The Blood for example where this text is a complete circle of white text on both sides. Just saying.....

		SGAE on The Blood and The Lovesong show that text alignment are mechanically precise, however in this instance this "Disintegration/Plain Song" label alignment are not consistent.

		Other issue is why are the labels so different in redness? Sure, scanners and scanning software are inconsistent but why have the people accepted this as been acceptable? Two different factories? The labels on the Lovesong Spanish 7" look more consistent.

		Everytime I return to this site I look at this record in awe. I would be so grateful if the "Two owners ebiasi, Jrcure and amocure" would provide a link to a video of this iconic 7" playing on a turntable. For me, a 7" record featuring Siamese Twins / Cold could only surpasse such a disc.

		I also recall when this item first appeared here, the owner mentioned something to the effect that one side sounded like a distorted version of Fascination Street. Would be interesting to see and hear a video of the record playing. The space in Plain-song not Plainsong is a typo.

		That would make sense if it was withdrawn. I couldn't figure out why they would press a promo with so few copies that it was undiscovered for so long! If it was defective and for promo use only, the time it would take to repress would make it useless for promotion by that point.

		Can you also tell us a bit more about the b side? In an earlier post you mentionned that "my opinion is that it was withdrawn because the B side track was uncorrectly recorded (too much long) in fact my copy, can't play the B side (you can listen a CURE song, but you can't understand the song, i think it is Fascnation St. maybe"...It's interesting that you cannot make out if it is Fascination Street or another song..are they mashed?...are you sure it's the Cure?...A very interesting record in many respects ...thanks again for submitting...Cheers JC
