thanks alot Vandeeb. i honestly had no idea when i contacted you! it was difficult to keep a secret after that, but for the spirit of it, i really had to. if i had known it would so soon end up in the hands of a dealer specialising in bollywood records no less, i would have done things differently. it is a waiting game indeed. shall be well worth it though.

Congrats Redhill, that's wonderful news! Glad to hear you haven't gotten yours yet either, I've been worrying in the back of my mind that it got lost in the post or something. Very happy for your win! And Cure1980, you're right. Now that I think about it, it was 5 voting winners, 45 picked by the band, and 50 guest artist sleeves (per band). So 700 total, yeah.

you're welcome zakiaaa. so after something of an emotional roller coaster ride since submitting my design in late 2011, and after bidding (and losing) on a whole buch of secret 7 sleeves, i am still without a single secret 7" sleeve, not even my own! but all of it has only benefitted the charity, so i am very happy for that. but if you find JC's stuffed down the back of a motel lounge sometime, you know where to find me!

yes easyme - it is my design. a couple of weeks after i emailed vandeeb to congratulate him, i got notified i was one of the 45. this happened on my birthday! the record number was 413 (get it, dream). i got so good at keeping it a secret to stay in the spirit of the competition, that there were only a few people in the world who actually knew, as i am not active on friendface. so it seems everyone was heartblinded at the exhibition and mine ended up getting auctioned online. i resisted the massive temptation to buy my own in the quaint hope that a fan would buy it and want to keep it, again in the spirit of the campaign. i told him he is about 2350 quid over the odds, but if his story is genuine then i accept that, not that it matters much. i really wish i had have spilt the beans to you all now despite being requested not to. anyway, i also dedicate this one to you guys on here and especially zakiaaa and webmaster for keeping the fire alive - i was a very late entry (maybe the 3rd extension), as i rate myself as a musician more than an artist. so, like vandeeb, when i receive my signed copy, i will scan it across right away! at the end of the day, i thought secret 7 was a genius concept and will be forever grateful for it, especially to Robert!

The Secret 7 website says that the exhibition contained 700 sleeves so I think it was 100 per artist that were sold and 100 sent to the artists. 7 artists x 100 sleeves.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was 5 that won in the voting contest and 45 chosen by the band. So 50x2.

Oh i see...i always though there were 100 covers + 100 made for the designers...even rarer then!

Easyme: there are 50 different covers, and each cover has two copies made. One went to the designer, and one was sold. Anyway, I'll upload my copy whenever it arrives... it's taking so long for Secret 7" to send them out, I'm worried it will never arrive! JC, that's terrible about the lost record. I hope it didn't get thrown out by a hotel worker! Ugh.
